  21. class 2 was a pre standard to the official class 2.0 standard and
  22. the two are not the same. uggg. Us Robotics has a 14 or so page
  23. document on the class 2.0 guide for programmers, but i cant seem
  24. to find it on thier ftp site with the rest of the ascii documantation.
  25. but dont fear.. you can get it by calling either Usr's ROBOFAX
  26. at 1 800 ROBO1OD (thats robo 1 o(not 0)d), or if getting the catalog
  27. of available faxes takes too much time (just the catalog is like a 
  28. bunch of pages) it would probably be easier to get it from usr's bbs
  29. (1 708 982 5092), and type FAX at the main menu. and you can
  30. request faxes from the bbs, and the catalog sends alot faster then
  31. getting it straight from the fax machine, its all nice on your terminal
  32. and stuff! heh.. just look for the fax titled "FAX class 2.0 documantation
  33. for programmers guide" or something similiar.. have your fax ready as
  34. soon as your hang up cause it seems that the bbs sends out faxes alot
  35. faster then the robofax 800#

  37. now i will dedicate the following lines as a gripe. according to people
  38. in comp.dcom.modems, even with all the problems (tech support, etc) the
  39. number 1 selling modem is sportster 28. the sportster and couriers (with 2.0 
  40. fax) have been out since 1994 AT LEAST. I think its about TIME that Fax 
  41. programmers start adding class 2.0 to thier programs!! dont you? it is the 
  42. standard isnt it? all the latest major releases.. Windows 95, Procomm 3.0, 
  43. Winfax 7.0 none of them have class 2.0!! come on guys get with the fucking 
  44. times
